Mental Health Day-10/10

World Mental Health Day provides an opportunity to talk about mental health in general, how to break the stigma around it, and the importance of speaking out when struggling with a mental health issue.

.Everyone, everywhere can participate in this year’s campaign: as individuals, to take concrete actions in support of our own mental health, and to support friends and family who are struggling, as employers, to take steps towards putting programmes in place for employee's wellness.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, depressive and anxiety disorders featured as leading causes of burden globally, despite the existence of intervention strategies that can reduce their effects. The themes for World Mental Health Day expanded along with the times. Women, children, health, work, trauma, suicide, and so much more became a part of the conversation, and today, the average citizen is more knowledgeable in regards to mental health.

we all have mental health that will fluctuate and need care at different periods in our life. What this looks like will vary but we all deserve safe and accessible support that meets diverse needs and experiences.
